so i got the eyes finished... i tape them on before i glue them so i can get proper eye placement. here it is with the eyes taped on. they will be closer to the head or skin P1010015 P1010016 when i glue them to the puppet. comments would be good, let me know if i need to work on my eye focus!? should i make them lower on the face, closer togeather? any  opinion would be cool. she doesent look just right yet??

hey shwan... i got a question when i built cross-stich the puppet on my profile, i was gonna sew the yarn on but when i did that the foam in the head was already finished. its really hard to sew when the foam is under the fabric  of the puppet. so my question is... can i sew the hair on the puppet im currently making or should i just glue it??? im doing yarn hair. there is not many topics from what ive found on making yarn hair or wigs with yarn??? is it possibe to glue it in the same way you you would stitch it or sew it?

im trying to make the hair thicker. with my first girl puppet i just did one layer of yarn... i think this time im gonna do 3 to 5 layers i want my puppet to have a fuller head of hair, what is yor suggestion about hair. i dont want her to look bald but i have to sew by hand as well.

oh this fabric is really, really cool! just look at my girl puppet! its a nice fabric, my seams turn invisibe when i work with it! try it! its cheaper than antron but u have to buy the colors its in, ive never seen it in white and i doubt you can dye it...

Hi Eric, the puppet is looking great! I recently starting wefting hair for my puppets after reading about it here. It's fabulous if you want to create a thicker styled hair and so easy to do! I personally glued it on after wefting so I could be sure of it's positioning but if the foam was removed from the head, you hadn't sewn the seams of the neck etc and you were extremely patient, I don't see why you couldn't weft directly on to the puppets scalp. It would be hard and finicky work though! Alternately, you could weft on to felt as I did recently instead of the paper and stitch it on afterwards. Doing it that way, I found the felt has to be a perfect match to the colour of the wig/yarn you're working with and it needs to be thick enough that the felt is not seen in between seams. Good luck! Please keep sharing pics of your progress!

Lizzie gave you the answer about your hair. Weft the hair first. Here are some past topics on the subject.
