Hello from Germany Posted by Tioh on Jan 29, 2012
My name is Markus but most of my friends call me Tioh. I build puppets and animatronic costumes in my spare time - only for fun, I do not sell them. I attended a very interesting lecture by Dave Barclay in 2008 that gave me the inspiration for build my first hand puppet - a scaled down version of one of my animatronic costumes:
All the joints in the body are flexible and the head can be played thru the back of the neck. The eyes can move in all directions, the eyelids and eyebrows are moveable, the ears can fold backwards and the tongue can extend. There are no electronic components inside the puppet - everything is controlled by pulling on strings.
Last year I made two rat puppets:

Oh my goodness! Those are amazing creations! ;-)
I can't believe you haven't begun to sell them...unless you don't have time to keep up with the sales you would have!
Welcome to Puppets and Stuff!

@Rikka: I live in Meckenheim near Bonn. The avatar picture shows one of my fursuits (I am inside the costume) holding a Folkmanis hand puppet.
@Shawn Sorrell: I can only say: don't call her "Foxy" ;-)
I did a quick translation of my german tutorial, that explains how I made my first rat-puppet:

The first test of the movable eyelids:

I don't have any videos of my puppets at the moment - I'm a builder, not a puppeteer.
