Hello Rich, welcome to P&S, as already said, WY sells antron on her website, but she also sells it on ebay from time to time, so its worth checking that out, another great resource for soft puppet making is 'the foam book', it is a fantastic way to start your puppet learning off, and although it has been said thousands of times on here already, our friend Pasha at projectpuppet.com is the go to guy for amazing puppet patterns that are easy and very professional, also check out drpuppets website for some awesome tutorials and patterns!!

Many thanks peeps! I was also looing for the correct fabric to make a fur kind of look, a little bit like the characters in Mongrels that aired in the Uk. Is anyone familiar with it and do you know what sort of short fabric, not actual fake fur, is best used for this sort of look. Like the mice in Bear in the big blue house from Jim Henson...? Also that soft wafty almost featherlike stuff that looks like very loose feathers andis usually bright colours...?

Hey Rich.... do you mean marabou?  It is turkey feathers strung together and is seen on many Muppet characters as hair.

Actually I think the Mongrel puppets where a combination of short nape fake fur and perhaps fleece like used on Muppet's.

ah, cool! where could I get craft fur? is it easy to get?
