When I shot my last puppet video Cookieface, I was fortunate enough to have a friend who is a talented composer and could translate my request for a Giorgio Moroder style parody of Muppet music.  Taking this insane request, he made a really great style parody that boosted the feel of the video.   He posted the song on his band camp webpage with a link to the video and when I checked the youtube stats on where our viewership was coming from, a fair number were music fans coming directly from his website.

Around 2007 after decades of a creative dry spell I got an Apple computer and with the garageband program found that I could pump out music like water.  Moving along to 2010 and the rediscovery of puppets it seemed even easier. They can sing anything. I have no musical training and have no idea what I'm doing half the time but I can pretty much compose and write lyrics on demand.  I started wondering if I should be writing jingles.  This thread makes me wonder if there is a market for puppet music.  I started writing worship songs in the 70's and had some bites from a couple of studios. BTW though the music in my puppet videos was written for those shows, the song "Guardian angels" was written in the 80's for a Christian band I was in. I recycled it for my season finale show.(Never discard your old work) In 08 I thought I'd try my hand at popular music and wrote quite a bit, but the creative ADD has me in a 100 directions. I discovered Imovie and started to focus on films. Just curious here, though competition in the music industry is fierce and I don't know if I have the stomach for it.  I was about to start a thread on computers and space but then I was sidetracked by this.  Since that is a different subject I will probably do that.

Well there may be a small market for puppet music but it would be tough I think. Most puppeteers are looking for either free stuff or public domain stuff. What you might do is create some stuff that is "free" for folks to use that would draw folks in but then offer the service of creating custom stuff for them.
