Very cool Dinosaur puppet. Posted by Shawn on Feb 20, 2012
I wanted to share this video of a dinosaur puppet that this guy made using stuff he found in dumpsters! Well pretty sure he may have had to buy a few things but he said he only spent $50.00 to build it.

So can you tell what he used to make it?  I can tell you that the Styrofoam he used is the same I've used in the past to build props, sets and puppets.  It is normally used flotation in floating docks and such. It is great because it is very dense and very carve-able. The neck looks like it is made from a type of plastic tube you can find in hardware stores for french drains. Looks to me like the body was covered in spray foam (sold in hardware stores as crack filler) and then carved down.

Here is a second video he posted that I watched after I typed the above. I was right!

this is an awesome, awesome find! everything about this video is great: i'm a huge Jurassic Park fan, the music in the background of the first film by Nick 13, one of my favorite artists, and do i even need to mention the shirtless strapping young puppeteer? amazing.
