How to advertise puppet workshops for children? Posted by titere on Feb 24, 2012
Hi all!  :waveI wonder, those of you that give workshop for children, how do you get to offer them, and where? Do you advertise in the schools, on the news paper, at the library?? Thanks for any info!

I would say that "advertising" in your schools and libraries is going to be your best avenue.  The reason I quoted advertise is because it is not always just a matter of posting a notice but contacting these agencies to see who is in charge of programing. You then need to link up with that person and present what you want to offer to them.

another good place to check might be community education groups and bigger day cares in nearby towns.

I know a lot of people here in Aus sign up with an agency, which then does the advertising for them. Of course, they take some of the profits, but in such a big country, it's often easier than printing out fliers and mailing them, etc.
