It begins.....making the family happy Posted by Gary Sorrell on Feb 28, 2012
I foolishly promised the family kids, nieces, and nephews a puppet each. So I will be making about 5 total. The first one is for my 7yo son Sam. He wanted an alien. It is from the pinhead pattern, and is finished except for the nose. This was a quick shot my wife made earlier, I will try to get better ones for my gallery as I finish this one and make the others.

I imagine! There is hardly one movement I can't screw up- but I guess that is the way I am ment to learn...

Billy is right! You're truly one of us now and hooked good and proper! Your first puppet is looking great. I can tell you that after years of doing this I still feel like I'm learning with EVERY build. And I'm always trying something new too. Whether it's something I came up with on my own or something I learned from someone here there's just no end to the creative and innovative possibilities! Have fun as your puppet family, for your family, grows!

It must be great to have a waiting reception for your work in the form of family! It also must be a magical moment when they each get their puppets. Wish I could see the look on their faces. Well done. Magic.
