Newest member to my puppet family Posted by Fabe on Apr 03, 2012
Meet... I don't have a name yet. I'm very proud of this one. Still missing his body, arms (I might even do legs) and clothing. But I love the expression on his face. Nothing fancy really.

Maybe not fancy, I don't know about foam puppets, but so expressive. He looks like he's been playing all night on his Computer. I had a neighbour once who looked like that in the Morning...

He is great. He does have a really nice expression.  Love the shape of his head.

Love it...  What did you use for the teeth?
Re: Newest member to my puppet family Posted by Fabe on Apr 03, 2012
I used a sheet of white craft foam. Just cut a strip and then round out the teeth. Glued it to his mouth with hot glue.

The body is completed. However, I'm not sure whether I want glove hands or regular stuffed puppet hands. I haven't tried gloved hands yet, so I'm kinda careful because I don't want to screw it up. Do you basically just make arms and sew on the gloves with a sleeve so that the performer's arm cannot be seen? Any hints?

Oh, I think gloved hands would look great with this puppet.  I agree with the others. Very expressive face!
There are a couple of methods to add gloved hands, but I'm not a good "explainer".  I'm sure there are some drawings on here somewhere and I'm sure Billy will find them if so!
