Still making my small puppets I want to achieve on making something more.  Are they easy for beginner puppet-makers?      

Hi Squirrely, I haven't used the Glorified Sock Pattern but I did use one of the Project Puppet patterns - I think it was the Pinhead Pattern. The patterns they sell are very user friendly so I doubt you will have too many problems. I found it really handy to use someone else's pattern. I was amazed by how simple they were - I had definitely been over complicating things unnecessarily! Good luck. Be sure to post some pics!

I agree........ The project puppet patterns are designed for easy use and come with simple instructions.

I have the Glorified Sock Puppet, Melonhead and Pinhead. All are great starting points for building and come with realy easy to use instructions for both hand and machine stitch...

Check out the Alternate Body pattern as well!

the mostro one is great, too. i don't think you can go wrong. Pasha has made Project Puppet a great stepping stone for many puppet artists to really get going from!

And I've bought every pattern they sell except for the Mostro and they're all great! I agree they are a super place to begin.

I just bought the pattern and will begin my first puppet today, with sewing tommorrow.  Gotta love having to borrow my mom's sewing machine 

I will let you know, if its easy for me then it should be easy for anyone
