FYI I tried stopping by your blog but it wouldn't load in my browser for some reason. Could be something glitchy on my end but I thought I'd give you the heads up.

There was an error in the bbcode that Kelso had entered for his Signature.  I fixed it for him.

I have yet to go to Mendels here in San Francisco. I'm kinda scared...

Mendels is AWESOME! I made a pilgrimage last time I was in CA. They're very nice, so don't be scared! Embrace the madness!

@Joel, I'm not really near Houston.  I'm about an hour outside of Dallas.

Well, I was a liar anyway.  I was in Houston today so Mom and I went by the old warehouse and they had closed down for good.  Let me know if you find a warehouse type place up there.  I get up there every so often.

Hey there Kelso, you snuck in without stopping by the "Introduce Yourself" board. So welcome to Puppets and Stuff! I see that you're planning a Muppet themed wedding. Very cool! You've probably already seen this but if not here's another example of a puppet inspired proposal/wedding.

Aww, that's adorable!  And you're right, I bypassed the "Introduce Yourself" board entirely.  I guess I should go do that!

Shawn Sorrell- Whoops!  Thanks for the help!

Joel, there are a couple in Houston that I'm aware of.  http://www.glicktextiles.com/products.html. They have fleece and a few basic furs.  If I were a home decorator then it would be a good source, but I'm pretty sure your average JoAnns has more selection.

http://www.southern-importers.com/ they have a good selection of furs, feather and other costume fabrics, but the prices are much higher than the web.

Makes for a fun window shopping day.  LOL

Are you familiar with Harwin?  I've been told its a great place for fabrics, but again I could only fine home decor types.

Harwin is a lot closer to my mom's.  They've got a lot of industrial park office/warehouse places there in that area.  But it's mostly tchotchke imports, paper, perfumes, and lower end stuff.  Might be a good place to pick up stuff for costuming or other odds and ends.

I don't get there often.  Austin is like an island to me and leaving is just too much of a hassle.
