Wonderflex and Fosshape Posted by Shawn on Apr 20, 2012
I had mentioned these two products in another thread but wanted to create a new thread here to introduce them better.  Both product can be purchased from Cosplay Supplies at http://www.cosplaysupplies.com/store.php?s=JK6K or at http://fosshape.com or http://www.wonderflexworld.com/ The last two are actually the same site but thought I would put them both just.

WONDERFLEX is an extruded thermoplastic composite sheet. It is comprised of a unique synthetic polymer that when heated in the range of 150-170 degrees Farenhight (70-80 degrees C), will soften and activate a built in adhesive for molding and forming. A layer of polyester open weave scrim is located on both the top and bottom surface for strength, reinforcement and stability.

Fosshape:

Fosshape is a felt-like fabric that can be cut, glued and sewn. The trick is that once heated it hardens and retains its shape. If enough pressure is applied, it becomes smooth and shiny. It can be heated with a regular iron or a steam machine. You can combine hardened sections with fabric sections in the same piece. It is breathable in its fabric form.

BTW: In the second video I embedded for Wonderflex I am pretty sure that the guy used craft foam for his initial shape and the sandwiched it between the two layers of Wonderflex.

This looks AMAZING!!!

Thank you so much for posting. I tried ordering via wonderflex.com site, and it keeps telling me I don't have anything in my cart. I took a look over the the cosplay site, and it seems way more expensive there. I will try again tomorrow. I am so excited to play with this. Thanks again!

I don't know if this is the issue or not but make sure you are allowing cookies for the wonderflex.com site. In fact if it does not work for you there check and see if will work at their other site.
