Giant Spectacular event in Liverpool Posted by In the dark woods on Apr 22, 2012
Hi everyone,
I just wanted to share a blog post with you all about the Sea Odyssey/Giant Spectacular puppetry event that took place in Liverpool over the past few days. I went along for Day 2 yesterday and have never seen anything quite like it. Truly incredible stuff. I've posted quite a few photos onto my blog and added a couple of links into the post to lots more images and footage from the whole event: http://inthedarkwoods.wordpress.com/2012/04/22/sea-odyssey/
Hope you like
All the best,
Rachel

Man I wish they would cross the pond and come visit us here in the US!
You got some really great shots!
I had not seen Xolo the dog before. He must be new.

Hi guys,
It was great to have the chance to go and see something like this, and the atmosphere was amazing. Tens of thousands of people came out to see puppets!
I hadn't seen the dog before either and had no idea what to expect. He was super-articulated, and like the giants, full of personality. He was a definite favourite with the kids.
Maybe one day they'll travel the big sea to the US

These are incredible! All I can think about getting those things over here is the shipping cost! Although, they're so big, the might just be able to wade over here

Haha! Maybe they could. I like the idea of giants walking along the seabed to another continent

Maybe the Discovery channels "The really big things show" will take notice. It would surely help there ratings.

Perhaps if enough people post in there forum there producers will look into it.

Hey Billy - it's worth a try:-)
There's a programme on the BBC next week about it as well, so there's bound to be a youtube upload shortly after. I'll post a link if there is. Not sure if they'll have any behind-the-scenes footage? It'd be great if they do as I'd love to see even a bit of the construction stage of it.

You had to feel a bit like one of the Lilliputians in Gulliver's Travels. How cool!!
