Let me give Julie one tip for shipping out of country. Use the USPS flat rate box!  I recently was going to ship something to out of country and dropped by my local UPS store. They wanted close to $100 to ship the item. I ended up shipping the same item through USPS with for around $20.   That was in their smallest box which I am not sure you could fit a hunk of fabric in but they do have larger boxes and even envelopes you can use. I think that at least a yard of fabric would fit in the padded envelope and it looks to be the same price as the small box.  Maybe the envelope would be ok for shipping since you would not need the added protection of a box. https://www.usps.com/ship/priority-mail-international-flat.htm?  You don't get any tracking with this and it does take two or three weeks to get there but hey the savings is worth it I think.  Note the prices on the page do not reflect the final cost with taxes and such. I had the small 16.95 box and it ended up being around $20 so that gives you an idea.

Shawn,  yes most often we ship USPS for international orders, but using their flat rate boxes actually cost more and fits less than the commercial boxes we use.  They have good advertising.  The only flat rate boxes that are lower in cost to use are the small and the only we can fit into them are eyes.

Lizzie,  shipping costs are based on weight to Australia?..examples 1yd ($37USD), 2yd ($41USD), 3yd ($44).  Also you will be responsible for customs fees befor the package is delivered.  If you are interested in any of the remnants I can get an exact shipping cost based on the quantity.

Humpdaditty- shipping to Canada is usually cheaper with UPS, but customs fees are about 25% on the value of the shipment.  USPS fees are about 11%.  USPS $47USD for 10 yds.  I will need your zip code to calculate the UPS cost if you'd like.

Please let me know if anyone has more questions about shipping cost, methods or the fabrics.

I should have know you knew more them me.  I was shipping something that fit in the small box so it turned out the best for me.

Not a problem, Shawn..  I didn't mean to sound  like you didn't.  It's the convience the post office is offering, order boxes online, schedule pick ups,etc. so they have to make up their money somewhere.
