Very cool!  Now I get it! The pearl bead rotates around the cotter pin.
Probably more correct - the cotter pin rotated  into the hole of the bead, because later the bead is glued to the PVC tube and cannot really move

one more  in progress, still working on this character not sure what I'm going to do with her head,maybe hair,maybe just like it now,only paint ,see later .  Bottom part will be made of soft stuff like fabric or so , it's going to be an octopus as in Disney movie ( this is what my client ask me to make ) but of course have to be different
