Judging by the number of topics in this forum about eyes, it's pretty easy to see how important this little body pert is.

Not sure about that particular eye, but it looks like part of a plastic spoon that that was cut and rounded, then had some felt eyelashes glued on to it. You could then partially cover the actual pupil to make a sleepy or dopey looking puppet.

No, it's not a spoon. It's an eye that is displayed on a British website, but not available there for purchase. I'm hoping that I can find an American supplier.

Looks like a animal nose made into a eye.......... but a bit longer than the traditional triangular nose.

@Chris I would spend less time to try to find it and more time on making it...I would say this is probably a specialty made product that is no longer available...that eye would be difficult to sell on average...just from a business point of view.  I would take the suggestion of a spoon and some felt to make them...they are pretty simple or get an artist to do it for you?  Good luck which ever way you go!!

I don't have the time or resources to re-invent this, it's for a stuffed doll for a little girl, and home-made just won't have the necessary safety factor.

Well, it is a closed eye, if you can live with it not being as hard and shiny you could just take a piece of cloth, some wool and a bit of padding- that should be safe...

I would second Stiq's suggestion. Once you learn to make eyes, you never have to look for them and you can get exactly what you want, every time.

No, I really can't make this. It needs to be completely child safe, impossible for a little one to pull off, or pull apart. For puppets that I'm using, I have no problem making my own stuff, but this is for a little girl who will be destructive, because that's what little kids are. I reckon I'll just keep looking around.
