Hey David-looking good! Your puppet mouths look good too. Probably the hardest parts to get right are the mouths and hands-but it is worth persevering.Keep up the good work!

thanks ! I am not one hundered percent happy with the inner line of the mouth on mine,  Im thinking of trying to finish it with liquid stitch.  Any thoughts?

Hi David. I'm not familiar with liquid stitch. I use PVA (wood glue) as well as machine stitching to secure my mouth pieces. Occasionally, one dries in a slightly lop-sided fashion-but hopefully it gives the puppet some character as we are not all perfect models! The nun puppet in my gallery was made for a local theatre production-one of the puppeteers must have decided that the mouth was too rigid and actually ripped out the inside mouth lining. It was difficult to repair-the glue dries fairly strong.

David I sew my mouth liner using whipstitch , you could also glue white felt  to make it look like teeth , cut out mouthplate peice then cut the center out of it to make a open semi-circle. does it make sense?
