Hey David-looking good! Your puppet mouths look good too. Probably the hardest parts to get right are the mouths and hands-but it is worth persevering.Keep up the good work!

I had the same problem with the ping pong balls cracking when I tried cutting the with an exacto knife. So I started using a bandsaw which hasn't cracked one yet. As for the pupils I found doll eye pupils at the hobby shop that come in different colors and can be put in the ping pong balls by drilling a small hole. They are pretty cheap too about 2.99 for four sets. I'll use them on my next puppet so you can see what I'm talking about. Good building. Dave

Dave Welcome
I found a small hacksaw at the hardware store that you can cut ping pong balls without breaking them. It has only one handle so it's easy to use. Love your puppet

Some of the ping pong balls come with a seem that goes all the way around...you can cut them with an xacto knife on that line and I have had great success with a clean line and not breaking plus a clean cut in half.

Thanks! I used floral wire to make a hand structure then glued it between two hand shaped foam pieces with contact cement and tucked the edges.  It ended up fitting the hand skin quite well.

Good thinking,  come to think of it I have a saw like that as well, I'll try it.  Also I have found that if you want a eye that protudes more you can use the band saw to cut very cleanly at about the 1\3 mark and make an eye lid that goes a bit further around the eye and it works very well.
