Bulgarian Puppets

Thought I'd share this. Video via Puppet Kaos, he's performing one of the puppets. He posted it last year but I'm only now finding it.

Found this via Puppet Kaos. Bloopers from Emmett Otter. It's very funny, but highly surprised that for a bunch of puppeteers they didn't think to rig up some sort of fishing line for the problem...

Yep. One reason why I was so confused as to why they didn't just rig something up to get it right.

I am also not really sure what "right" was.   Seems they ended up with it rolling out then hitting the milk can and flipping over.  I thought some of them where it just rolled by where pretty good but perhaps in the next shot the owner had to come out and retrieve it. They may have even already filmed the next shot and where trying to replicate the location it ended up.

Yeah, I had the same thought. I wasn't sure what they were trying to do, except that they were getting it wrong. Still I think some sort of fishing line apparatus would have worked - sort of like a flying fox system where you have one line to keep it going in the direction you want, and another string that would allow it to roll. I don't know if that would work or makes sense, but it seems like an easier idea than just doing 300 shots and hoping you eventually get it right. Heck, even a really tiny groove in the set would have helped it a bit.
