Okay, this is one of the strangest use of puppets I have ever seen.
Re: Hidden Treasures on Youtube Posted by Shawn on Jun 04, 2013
Well it is one of the oldest uses of puppetry. Puppetry has been used in religious pageantry all the way back into the Middle ages and probably before then. I will say that this church does have a very different approach to a service then others. I almost wonder if many of them are artist and performers.

If you like string marionettes, have a look to this video. A marionette realizes the strings and breaks them. Good story and great manipulation. The puppeteer is  Philippe Genty. I looked on a Spanish puppetry site http://www.titerenet.com

I hate to admit it, but I watched this one while at work (shame on me) and had to watch it without sound. Even without sound, this was wonderful. It reminds me of the movie "Strings." It's very evocative and very sad. I really liked this.

Here is an odd one.

Pretty cool. Love how the things hanging off the bottom of the back pack actually make legs for stool so the puppeteer can sit while performing.

theater terra

It is Dutch (I can't help that you don't understand it...) but I realy love this kind of theater because the magic of puppetry is there. You see the puppeteer but when you are watching you forget the puppeteer and only see the puppet. Theater Terra is very creative in there stage props ( i hope it is the correct word)The bed they turn around and it is an ful dinner table with bread, cups.

Great puppetry! I too like this style and this company does it well.

Yes the correct word is prop.
