Sapphire the Dragon Posted by Rcdspoon on Jun 24, 2012
Hey everyone,

Spoon here again. It has been a while since I've completed a new puppet so I thought I would share what I have been working on lately.  Her name is Sapphire. She is a Blue/Silver metallic dragon. She is really young (you can tell by her small wings.)  Her arms and legs are movable while her tail and body is stiff but flexible. Her head is attached to a "rod control" device that allows her movement.  She also has magnets placed throughout her body so she can be more secured to places like peoples arms or shoulders... I even found her attached to the refrigerator at one point. My wife that was a cute joke! Kids thought it was funny while i was looking for her and nobody would tell me Sapphire was on the fridge (hahaha!) Any way, here are some pictures to look at. Please feel free to leave any comments... Thanks

:)She look awesome I love the idea of magnets to hold her on your shoulder or wherever you need.  She looks great with the details on her and the paint job...and attaching the rod to move her head is a nice way to make him come to life. Thanks for sharing!!! BTW welcome back it has been a long time.

Nice dragon!  I really like this style.  What is the medium. Looks kind of like paper or cardboard cut and shaped. Very neat!

There is no fooling you Shawn... It is the classic paper, tape and modge podge combo!
