Yeh I think I want to go with this particular bear, but I'll try the thrift stores. Maybe I
can create some other characters as guest stars. I'll try out some different rods and see what works.
I'm sure i can macgyver something together.

Oh and my avatar is a guy sitting under a street light. It's my production logo. ^_^

Thriftstores are a great place to find them. I bought 10 stuffed animals today and only spent $3.  I got a great lion I plan to convert to a puppet. Looking forward to seeing more of your Videos.

Hi and welcome to a great site from a fellow Aussie. You will get plenty of help and good advice here. My husband and I have around 30 puppets that we use-but our most popular by far is Tedd D. Bear (the D stands for delightful.) He is perpetually 6 years old and having to learn from his mistakes. Everyone aged from 1-80 wants to take him home with them! There is a picture of Tedd on my gallery page as well as on our web site-we make puppets to order, and quite a few people have ordered bear puppets from us over the years. Happy puppeteering! Rockin the Aussie contingent! Welcome!

I really dug your clip. The mug sipping scene at the start was a nice touch and humanised your bear. Is that an English accent you're sporting? In any case, you have a nice tone and it's easy to listen to. I can't comment on the content - I hold fears that if I actually watch this flick it will spoil the Alien quadrilogy for me entirely - but if enough people rate it I might be swayed! Awesome effort. Be sure to share your bear/puppet conversion.

Generally pretty good.  I agree that the bear should be a little higher showing more of him.  I also think you should pan back a bit. The wide screen effect is cutting his head space off.  I also think it's a bit long to hold interest if you are not going to have a moving mouth.  Someone just posted a video that shows how to add a moving mouth to a stuffed animal. That being said I loved the voice and it went with the bear well.  Keep at it. I'll be asking for advice soon so you can throw it back to me.

Thanks for all the support guys! I'm not really English it's just the voice that sort of cam out when I was practicing with him. I think I will try to keep the future videos shorter, really tighten it down, because you are right it's a lot to expect without much movement on screen.

Welcome.  You might be able insert a metal rod in thru a seam without having to make hole in your puppet, if the stitching is not too tight.  My son is a movie reviewer, he liked Prometheus a lot.

I want to echo what Billy and Shaun said in the beginning as well as what others followed up with suggestions on teddies you can cut up make into puppets...I would add and this maybe hard but it is a general rule to not have puppets talk so much or at least not one doing all the talking...so if you could break up the reviews with little actions may be a big help to make this easier to take in...as well with the lack of attention people have on YouTube you may want to keep your reviews no longer than 2-3 minutes tops..but the concept is great...keep working at it I really love the idea.

I created a second video. It was created on the basic template of the first. But I experimented with Rods for the head and left hand in the intro this time. I'm not to confident with it yet, will do a bit more for the next one. I rushed this one out to capitalize on the movies newness. I'm still figuring out the sort of style and humour, while experimenting.
I think I will do something big for the next one, which will probably be about Batman.
