Thank you for the interesting write up, I could feel your ears bleeding.  Glad you survived.

Shawn - Thanks for the encouragement. This is the average for what they charge, but I didn't think it would be worth it until they were holding the special session.

Stiq - I actually watch every single one of your videos before I started, so thank you. You broke things down so they were easy to understand. You made giving my first one a go a little "less scary".

Snail - Thanks! Glad that came across in the writing.

Thanks for this! I was going to sign up for the next round of classes in LA. I am a little disappointed to hear it was lame. I wanted to take the class more as a networking thing. I like figuring out how to make puppets on my own, but I totally lack that sense of community or the "these are my people" feeling. I am pretty isolated in my endeavors here. This forum has been totally awesome, but I would love to have a weekend where builders get together just to make cool stuff. I was hoping the classes would provide that environment.

yalaurie - If you want to grab coffee and talk foam, just message me! My friends' eyes glaze over when I talk shop anymore, so it would be great to gab at someone else for a while!

haha awesome! I actually live in Vegas, but I am in CA all the time. I went to school out there so a lot of my friends are still in that neck of the woods. It would be fab to connect at some point tho. Thanks!

Thanks Shawn for the clarification on the prices...I never took making a puppet course so I have not really looked into it...but still a very disappointing workshop overall.

And your second part Shawn is also very true...I learned a lot on the internet and through asking questions when I was stuck...I have come a long ways in the making of my puppets as well as performing.  So learning off the internet is possible...may take a bit of digging at times but you can always find it.

I am going to put my two cents in. You all know I have not been puppet building long maybe a month. And if it wasn't for the tutorials and input from all of you I would have given up. Each one here has their own unique talents and thankfully I have you to help me. I dug around on the internet for a year before I found this site. And I am so thankful for each and everyone of you. BIG

Hi, I live in Norway, and I'm planning on going over to attend the puppet performance classes they have. Do you know anything about these, or did you only attend the puppet making classes?

Stian Presthus.
