I am attempting to make a Gonzo the great puppet. Anyone have any suggestions?

We appreciate your enthusiasm on making puppets and being such a great fan of the Muppets...especially Gonzo...however we don't have much information on making/patterns for copy-right puppets...however if you try at it yourself and you need some support on area's that you get stuck on we will try our best at finding solutions...wishing you all the best on your puppet making adventure.

I understand that the original Gonzo had dyed and carved reticulated foam for his nose. Hope this helps you in some way. Good luck!

I'm almost finished with him. I had 2 bad starts. The 3rd one is passable. I'll post a picture when he's finished.

I uploaded some pictures of Gonzo. I'd like some opinions.
Thanks

He's very colourful compared to the original. Maybe that'll make him a great hit with the kids. I like his suit!

He turned out pretty good! How did you color your foam? Did you dye it?

Yes. I used ritz. I'm not happy with the blue tint on the beak though. I used chalk to try and get that blue highlight. It seemedto make the beak look dirty.

You definitely got the eyes and body just right, love the suit... and the beak got there but maybe you could get it to blend a little more onto the  nose base so it tapers into the snout. Good job.
