Ha ha ha, thanks. Yes, LOTS of work (but fun work). I estimate that we will process around 22.000 renders before we are done. That's all the original footage, then weeded down to one take per shot, plus two backup takes, in two languages... then process all the final takes, at least 5 times each for special effects, color balancing, de-noising, etc, in two languages (that's really two movies in one).
We plod along, trying to film something each week, when we are able to work on the movie (life and other projects seem to get in the way),That's on top of building puppets, sets, props, doing tutorials, and other stuff... and I try to process what we film between shoots. We have half the footage more or less done so far.  I only hope that HD does not go out of fashion before we are finished. Already there is a move to go 4K... but here's hoping. It's all a bit of a gamble anyway. It's our first feature film. We have no backing, and we don't even know how it will be received. I am not aiming at making a blockbuster, but I am hoping it won't be terrible either. Whatever happens, I do enjoy the process. It's been one heck of a ride so far.
I have had my full share of robot jobs during my life, so I fully appreciate and am thankful for the opportunity to do what we are doing. It could be very different, so I am thankful more than anything.

20th of July 2015...stardate log.... we finished a boating sequence (although lots of post to do on that one yet) and we have just finished building a character for a small part in the next 12 min sequence of the movie. That used up a furry chair cover (or whatever it was) and all those little iddy biddy bits of fluff/fur fabric left over form other projects. (don't  tell him he's a mongrel and not pedigree)

Ahh but such a cute mongrel!

 Hi All,
Here is a vlog from April 2015. There are some extra little bits but  it is  mostly puppets, so I thought I might post it here for anyone following the production. Yesterday I was filming in a sewer... today we will be filming in a park, if the weather holds.

Hi Guys, we are slowly chipping away at editing and doing special effects at the moment, but this week I got motivated to make a couple of lizards for a very short scene in the movie, and so.. auditions ensued...

That was fun, did you do all the voices yourself?  I find that hard shifting characters so fast.  I was waiting for the puppet hands to pull off the arms you must have sewed them well.
Re: Lord Of The Donuts Posted by pagestep007 on Aug 19, 2016
Hi Snail. Yes, I did all the voices, camera, etc.(hard to get the puppets on and push the camera record button with two lizards on your hands) I also used it as a dubbing exercise, redoing the audio for a Spanish version. My Spanish voice performance could improve, but it went OK. The hands are sewn into the arms. I was more concerned they would rip off the donut.
