I think kingart4 meant that his extension he added did not work so he is going back and making a whole new mech much like you did.

I had said the the middle piece was too short.  I tried to connect a longer piece to it to make it work, but it wiggled too much.  I then glued it to make it more sturdy.  It seemed to work, but it didn't.  The glue gave way and its back to not working well.  So I remade the whole thing.
