GREAT! I'd love to see a video, too, if that would be possible.

Me too Rikka! Gui, this guy is mind blowing. How tall does he stand? How long did it take to carve in such detail? Really, really awesome.

Good catch on the top of the violin with the added string.  I had forgotten about that one. Why did you place two strings to the back of the hand holding the bow?

Thanks all!!!
This puppet is 42 cm tall (~16.5 inches). It took me almost a month to get it done, but I didnt work full time on it, something like 1 to 2 hours day work. I particularly think thats a problem of carving a puppet, it takes too long! But I like to carve, I like the cedar wood smell and I after all I think the puppet becomes more valuable. I'll soon make a video of him playing the violin.
Shawn I just put those strings to give more possibilities of movements. I like the elbow and hand moves It makes the action of playing the instrument more realistic. As I watched violinists videos on youtube and I noticed that these movements are very present, so I decided to add the strings and see. I liked.

Hello everybody,
I just added one more string (the missing string ) with a tiny little ring at the end, to hold the bow's hair on the violin and keep the bow aligned as the marionette plays the instrument. Now he is finally done! I'm convinced.
Next time hope to bring him in action.

I am really looking forward to this! And I imagine that cedar really smells nice! I fear this can't be said about my clay...
