Wizard project Posted by ArthurS on Jul 31, 2012
Okay, I was going to wait as I have 7, non-puppet projects due in as many weeks. But the video on the eyes made me want to try it and the ol' ADD got the better of me. So...
Already thinking his name might be 'Ozzard" Or the Wonderful Ozzard of Wiz.

Looks like a great start. Nice variation on the mouth. Is there anyway you can still get to the trigger and add an extension? I wonder if you could even tie a piece of cord/string to it and run it out the head and down so you could pull with your other hand to operate.

I did. I took the remaining pieces of hanger and connected them. works well, but would have worked better as a single piece with no wiggle. I glued it to reduce that, but one piece would have still been better. The forehead moves a little more than I'd like as well, when opening the lids 'wide'. I plan on just adding a more resistant piece of foam to see if that helps

Yes when you do this or any type of mech really you need to reinforce the area where you mount it. Foam, plastic, wood or metal. Anything you can work with and still be able to attach or wrap your outer foam/skin to.

The glue on the eye mechanism didn't work. I either need to make a handle (no thanks) or remake the whole thing. So...
This works MUCH better! Also, I put the lids and brows on before mounting it because on the previous attempt, when trying to hide the wire, gluing in the pieces looked rough. It hides much better now.

I've also repaired mine, I've post some pics on the post of FanBoy if you want to see them. Your's eyebrows are great!
It results at least a bit difficult to operate mine, but I think next will result better...
enjoy seeing you, keep on posting..
