Very cool. This answers my question from the other thread perfectly and even shows the inner workings. We love seeing in process photos around here.

I know what you mean about the use of a mirror. While I don't want puppets to always look like me it helps to see a face and the relationship of all the parts. Hmmmm.... that sounded a bit crazy.

And this is how these characters were used...



and then in after filling in the greenscreen:

And this is how it works. mouth connected to upright stick, wich is controled by a 100cm long lever. This makes controling the puppet, recording the sound and making the video at the same time...

aha... I think I see. so the long stick pushes an upright, which pushes the mouth stick which is pivoted in the middle, to make the mouth move? and you operate everything from the camera postion? Economic. I have an infered remote control for my camera , so I can operate the puppet, and the camera from the puppet side of things. In studio I use a laptop within arms reach for audio, but I just got a small digital voice recorder which is about the size of a cell phone, which makes the audio even better. Just trialed it on an exterior shoot, and it works well.  My Dutch is about zero, but I got the jist of what was going on in your reports. I see it was for the tour de France. Well, I've been asked to make a video about a car-free day at the city of Tomar (Portugal), but they want Carlos (the character here) to do the interviews. I don't know how I'm gonna do it yet, possibly just make the video and put the puppet in there with greenscreen....just got ti figure that out. One thing is for certain...it will be in English.
