Coming back to making puppets! :D Posted by StCloud on Aug 17, 2012
A couple of years ago i made monster puppets and fursuits, but then i stuck mainly to fursuits and making hats. Now i have decided its time to venture forth back into the world of puppets, so yesterday i went and brought LOADS of materials, and i am going to try and build a wolf puppet. This is unlike anything i have ever build and i really dont know where to start with this guy...
He'll be a black wolf, with white ends to the fur. Not sure if he's going to be cartoon or realistic...i'll probably go with, sorta, Muppet, cartoon style though. I think its more fun to build that way.
Well anyone have any tips/suggestions for my project? :3

I commented on your other post. Keep us updated on your build. If you can video the process or take pictures we would love to see it.

Welcome to Puppets and Stuff! Glad you joined use!
I too answered in your other post. I see though that you have some good experience under your belt. Did you also build your heads for your fursuits? The reason I ask is that the concepts and methods are the same with puppets. The big difference is that with puppets the density and thickness of the foam is less. Normally 1/2 or 1 inch standard or reticulated foam is used.

It's great that you are getting back into puppetry! The world can ALWAYS use another puppeteer. Welcome back friend.
