So, i've made puppets before. But they have been monster puppets. They have just had circular faces, no snouts or anything. I made, a sort of, "glorified sock puppet" for my sisters birthday, it had a snout, but it had no foam or anything. As i said, it was just like a sock puppet, but i made it from scratch.
But now i am interested in making a proper wolf puppet, but i have no idea where to start. I normally dont use patterns, but does any one know of a free wolf puppet pattern.

I would love to build a puppet like vince, from gluvets.

Have you worked with sheet foam yet? Is that how you made the monster puppet?  The reason I ask is that even with a snout on a puppet it often starts out with the same basic head but just get's foam added to it. The Foam Book is a good reference for building from scratch. http://www.greysealpuppets.com/FoamB.html

I've never seen any patterns for a wolf so I think you are going to have to create on your own.  That being said the Project Puppet Patterns are an excellent starting point. http://www.projectpuppet.com/ 

Yeah, i use upholstery foam though. I've never really made the base of something out of 100 percent foam, so i'm struggling a bit. But i have made animal faces for costumes with it before, however they were made using a balaclava and then slowly building up the foam.
Actually i just messed up his face, i dont really know how to make it from just foam.

I've found a monster pattern, i think i'll use that and then add a muzzle. :3

I did'nt use the monster pattern in the end. But what i did end up doing looks really good. Maybe I'll post some pictures later.
