1920 X 1080 but I had my browser was not full screen so it was displaying the body at a width of 1225. Actually on my other monitor which is 1280 X 1024 it displays all on one line if at full screen. Maybe I am the only one who does not size my browser to full screen.

Thank you! As usual my designing for the most common screen res can be thwarted by ... smaller screen res.
Anyway, I think we've gone completely off topic, so if anyone has more thoughts on the issue of refunds, let me know!

Ok, I got yet another email from someone who was confused as to how things work... so I decided to go a whole 'new' way.
I'll update the individual advert pages with pricing/download info to try to make that more obvious. However, what I'll do instead is to link each invite to download/buy to this page:
http://www.schoolofpuppetry.com.au/buy.php
It's still a work in progress, but at least it's a little clearer. The page itself can't be accessed unless you know the URL or you've been linked there via the download/payment button. I've got to fix the 'view cart' and add a back button to whatever page you were on, but the idea is that the instructions are there in your face, you can easily see the price info, you've got a link to the preview of each pattern, and a 'cart' button for each pattern as well. You've got a link back to each pattern's advert so you can go and view more detail about it. Plus there's a link to the more descriptive page about how the transactions work.
What do you think?

That should help I think. It lays it all out and makes it clear what they are buying and how much. So on each page you would link to this one so they see it before they actually hit Pay Pal right?
Re: A question for puppet sellers Posted by Na on Aug 23, 2012
Yep, exactly right. You see the advert for the pattern, click on either download button (I'm unsure right now if the freebie should go to this new page or just go directly to the free download itself) and it will send you to this page; before going to paypal.
And this time what happens is I've used the cart buttons instead of single-payment buttons. This means you can go back and add things before paying. The cart function makes things a lot more obvious than just going directly to paypal.

The page is now complete and added to the advertisement of each pattern...hopefully this will help solve things.
Although it still doesn't help when customers don't reply to your pleas to help them get what they pay for...

Works well I think and you get the added bonus of them seeing the other products you have even if they have not seen that page yet.

Yep... the one thing that I forgot to do... add a back button. But I wasn't sure if it was necessary? I mean, assuming you're not web savvy, will you figure out to use the browser back button... or will you just feel lost?
Re: A question for puppet sellers Posted by Shawn on Aug 25, 2012
I don't think you need a back button. You do have the More info links which lead back to each article and I do think that most folks know about the browser back button and use it.

Yeah well given most people somehow miss the search function on my site (and proceed to email me about something already answered on the site)... I don't know is that laziness or a lack of web savvy?
For the time being though, I agree with you.
