new to puppets and stuff.. Posted by Theatrophobia on Aug 28, 2012
Hey, i've been making puppets for about a month now and absoultely love it.. have three of the four simple series patterns from project puppet. love the site. i will post a pic of the puppets i've done so far and one i'm working on at the moment. in the pic you can see all my puppets plus a muppet whatnot i got from FAO Schwartz.... would love suggestions and tips on the puppets created... two of the puppets have working eyelids (the white-haired one and the angry one), the harlequin looking one is still a Work in progress.. i think it needs some purple...  and the puppet i'm currently working on is going to be either a realistic or cute looking Dobby the house-elf from harry potter..

Welcome, I'm also new here, and it's a great forum to be on. Lost of Tips & Tricks...
All puppets in the picture were made in one month? Pretty good!

Welcome to Puppets and Stuff......... you must have some prior skills in sewing or crafting to have made so many in one month. You did a great job on them Thanks for sharing photos.

Wow only one month! You are really turning them out.  I love the two tone harlequin one. Aside from perhaps lining his eye in black like you did on the others, I don't know that he needs anything else.  Welcome to Puppets and Stuff.

I was thinking about how expressive they're and you Shawn have given me the answer! It's because of that black lining in their eyes.

Your puppets have given me the idea for my new ones!
I'm in love with the one with one-eye..

thanks.. yeah i have prior sewing background. being a theatre major i took a few costuming classes and design classes. i am also wanting to deviate from the custom project puppet patterns but dont know how to start.

I've made a HellBoy puppet just adding layers of foam to the pinhead pattern and then covering it with polar fleece, which I think is similar to your Anton Fleece, which waws impossible to find here in spain.

I don't have many pics of the process cause my phone went off batery but you can get ideas. I promise take more photos next time..
