Really nice puppet head, that hair is so cool.

Thanks.  It was a challenge.  Under the blacklight it's hard to do shading without it coming off looking like a five o'oclock shadow.  I was trying to create the trade mark snarled lip, but since the colors are limited for blacklight dye combinations a different shade on the lips didn't look right.  While doing some shading for regular light with pastels i noticed that a few of the pastels were bl reactive.  What doesn't show under the regular light is the lips are lightly shaded and show up as a darker shade with makes the lips take on more of the trade mark Elvis lip.  Unfortunately I forgot to take a photo under the bl.

Angel, did you find a color to work for your project.

I love the snarl!  He looks really good.  I haven't even opened the box of dye I ordered yet! So it still remains to be seen. :/

I would love to see your guy in the black light to really see how he looks, but he looks wonderful in regular light!!

If you ordered the fuchsia and flo yellow, i think i mixed the two powders together then added the hot water to dissolve.  The whole batch was a bit blotchy but since the surface area of the face was relatively small it did not show.  I think it would be better to dissolve each dye separately then mix.  More yellow, less fuchsia and don't let it stay very long in the dye bath.   Hopefully the client will send photos once they add the costume.  Human in costume with puppet head.

This is what we came up with for Blacklight flesh and darker hair.  He glows just lovely under the blacklight.  Looks more Elvis-ish as well.  I think it's the blue hair that throws me off.  Client liked him that's all that matters.
 Elvis Head
The gold glasses turn black under the BL.

Love it! The hair is what makes it for me, but the whole thing is great

I think I only ordered the fuchsia.  So my skin will turn out more pink. I'm okay with that because I just didn't want green or orange. LOL

Okay.   I am dying the fabric today finally!  I hope it works out.  I'll check back in later with results.

Thanks. It's a technique that I saw on one of Angela Beasly's puppets.

I forgot to take one before I sent it to the client.  I'v e requested a photo fro them.  I'll post it when they send it.

The eyes are the comic eyes we sell, only I drilled out the area and added bear eyes.

Elvis in progress.  He is very pink, but I don't mind.

He still needs feet, a tongue and a few other touches.

@Julie, I also noticed your Elvis eyes are embedded aren't they?  I didn't go to all that trouble.  My Elvis is a little more simplified. LOL

A friend bought the wig.  It won't glow but I'm either going to paint this one, or make another one that is black light and change them out.  He's wearing this one for the parade Saturday.
