Hello, I am Kristina.  I am new this year to puppet making.  I've always loved puppets, and decided this year to start making my own.  I needed a final project for my Master's in Environmental Studies, and wanted something different than a long written paper.  I decided to make educational nature/environment themed videos for children, staring puppets to make them more fun.
I made a special youtube channel just for my puppet videos to share the videos.  I made three different ones, with different puppets and themes.  I was also the puppeteer for the videos, which was also a first.  I am quite pleased with how well my puppets came out for my first time, and was surprised at how hard puppeteering is!  The sunflower puppet in "Field Trip to Nature" was technically my first completed puppet, with Jimmy in second.  Check out the videos if you want and feel free to share any thoughts. Hey not bad! Looks like you even have some stop animation going on in the opening. Love the Nature Ln street sign in the background.

Wichita, Kansas.  That is not too far from me in Kansas City.  Never been to the Botanical Gardens there though.

I think you did pretty good.  Your puppeteering will continue to get better the more you do it. Loved the little drummer in the Phantom Watt video.

Think kids will love these. Nice mix of puppets and pretty good movements for your puppets. One good hint is to make sure your puppet's mouth is closed before they talk that way you will be opening your mouth on each syllable rather than closing it. I used to teach junior high science and High school Chemistry for a short time, I'd give them an A+. Especially like the snail.
