Headless Horseman Posted by melaine9 on Oct 11, 2012
Hi everyone. I have come up with an idea for a New puppet I am going to make. I would like to here your input on the idea. He will be the headless horseman from the Sleepy Hollow story. Although this might be a big project. I hope I will be able to pull itoff. Instead of the tradition head I am going to put his head under his arm manipulate the mouth from there. Pics will be taken as I progress. Thanks for all your support, You guys are the best..

I love puppets like this!   Used to always do a Halloween show each year and I would try to build something new for it each year. This would have fit right in.

I did the fantasy line of puppets.  Now I want to do a classic monster line.  working right now on a new zombie (the first was my 3rd puppet ever and, well, looks like it. lol).  I thought of Frank, a mummy, witch, etc.  But Headless horseman didn't even cross my mind.  Love it!!

It would be really rad if you could get it so he head can swap from the top of the neck area to crook of the arm.  For instance if you had the head connected to all black fabric that would make it so you can't see the arm or whatever. Nah mean?

Wouldn't be too hare to make the head switch from crook of arm to head but you wouldn't get much control over the head when it is in either place. Might mess with the mouth control also.  Would be cool though.

I would be great to be able to do that.....but...I am not that talented as a puppet builder. This is going to be one for the books if I can pull it off (no pun intended). LOL. I am going to try more of a sculpted head coverd with fleece. Just got to get it all on paper and go from there.

Zombies are so popular right now. And Halloween is my favorite time of year. I know yours will be so cool.
