My daughter's College Production of "Pecos Bill" Posted by Angel in Tx on Oct 13, 2012
I just got back from watching a production of "Pecos Bill and the Ghost Stampede" (A Tall Texas Tale) that my daughter's college performed outdoors for the town's fall festival.  She made the puppets/props for this production.  I caught a few pictures with my cell phone so they aren't very good but you'll get the idea.  Some of this may not make sense to those of you not familiar with Texas or the US.  But it's a folk tale about a man named Pecos Bill who could rope a tornado (didn't get a pic of that!)and did all kinds of outlandish things.

The annoying thing was this man in the audience had his dog with him, who wasn't very well trained and barked and growled every time a puppet or the guy in the red suit came out.  I wasn't even able to hear very well because of the barking.

But the play was cute and we had to moo like cows, howl like coyotes and pose like cactus throughout.  Lots of fun!!

And she only had $200 and 2 weeks to make EVERYTHING!  So I think she did a pretty good job!

Wow a $200 budget and 2 weeks... she did do good.  Love the road runner!  Looks like a fun time was had by all.
