Cleaning Workshop Posted by Out of the Box Puppets on Oct 27, 2012
Hello everyone.  I just wanted to give everyone a heads up.  We have been organizing (growing, must make room), so we will be getting rid of some things in the next few days.  I will have a more complete list and photos shortly, but just wanted to give everyone notice.

Partial List: prototype puppet heads, rolls of defective foam (usable, just not what we need, serger and a few more things.  I will give specifics on all items as soon as we have inventoried.  Some free + shipping others small $ + shipping.  Hope to post them by Monday at the latest.

Please be kind to your fellow P&S family members when considering which items you need most.

1st batch - three rolls of 1" regular density foam 24" x 96".  This foam arrived severely compressed and still has yet to fully decompress in all areas.  This will work for most projects, but we just don't have the time to cut around the defective areas.  The foam is free, plus shipping cost.  Shipping cost will be determined by weight and zipcode.

Puppets/heads
David Pannebeck puppet from puppet making class.  Original custom dyed antron fleece.  As you can see in the photo the arm rod mech. has been removed from his wrist, this wrist could be restuffed and hand sewn closed.  The other wrist has the mech, but I do not have the type of rod that is used. Also included two prototype heads for basic puppets. All three puppets are free + shipping and must be taken together as one lot. DSC02115 DSC02119

Mascot Costume Gloves (Grinch type only orange) Heavy original antron, lined with stuffed fingers. Approx. 25" from end to tip of longest fingers. Free plus shipping. DSC02118

Mascot Costume Reindeer Antlers.  I'm not sure what these are made out of but they were attached to a life size reindeer two person costume. Approx 29" long. Free plus shipping. DSC02116 DSC02117

Okay, here's the deal with the serger.  We purchased it as a floor model about 1.5 yrs ago to use on the occasional basis when our seamstress wasn't able to meet a particular deadline.  It has been used about once or twice a week since then for maybe 1-2 hrs each time.  It works fine for the occasional project, but can be finicky if you sew more than an hour at a time at full speed.  It seems as if the motor slows down, it might be overheating, but it doesn't feel like it or smell like it.  Also, it's finicky about thick fabrics such as several layers of fleece. It will sew along fine for a while, then likes to break thread.  Soooooo you ask, why would I want this machine.  I believe it will be fine for the home sewer, but not commercial.  If you have the time and patience to thread it and adjust the tension and want to sew the occasional projects then this should work for you.  FREE plus shipping.  Shipping cost will be approx. $20 depending on zipcode.  It is packed in it's original box with original packing materials.  All original accessories along with additional lower and upper cutting blades with the exception of needles are included.  It will be shipped UPS.  AS IS - NO Returns. We paid $400. You might ask, why are they giving it away.  Well, first I have used it and it works, but can be annoying in this fast paced business.  We are constantly on deadlines and can't afford the luxury anymore of finicky machines.  Second and most important, we have been so blessed in this business and by this website that we want to bless others who might just need this equipment.

Sorry, only US shipping locations for serger.

Again, since this is a high dollar item, I'm asking that you be kind and generous to your fellow P&S members.  If you already have a serger that works, please give others who have been desiring one a chance to weigh in.  Remember you are blessed to be a blessing.

Please respond here and PM me if you are interested in any of these products.

My wife would kill for the serger! lol  And I can always use eyes...
Re: Cleaning Workshop Posted by Out of the Box Puppets on Nov 02, 2012
Now, now, no killing will be necessary. AuthurS, Are you requesting the serger? PM me and register on our site. I do have one person who has asked about the serger before the info. was available, so I will check with them first.

The eyes and gloves have been claimed.

Remaining stuff: Antlers.  Come on,  you can't tell me someone out there isn't planning a huge Christmas display with a life size Reindeer puppet in need of antlers. LOL
Re: Cleaning Workshop Posted by ArthurS on Nov 02, 2012
Nah, I better let someone else get the serger who will use it more.  I'll keep watching for parts though. Those I CAN use!!!
