Hey, i've been on here for a few months now. and seeing that tomorrow is halloween, was wondering if any of you have used ur puppets to hand out candy... i'm thinking about it, was just wondering what your take on it will be!

I was thinking about this but I get a lot of little kids so I don't want to scare them and have their parents yell at me

Spoon has done it before and when I was still with StoneLion Puppet Theater we would do a show every Halloween at an event that was in the park where kids would walk through and get candy and see different entertainers. Never really had an problem with it. I think it is a great idea.

the kids loved my Dobby the house elf puppet, and my Melting monster puppet!!! I'm excited! Halloween worked out well this year.... And Dobby handed out mini bags of popcorn, Which also the kids loved!

I had a feeling it would go over well.

too late for my reply to be useful, but yes, several times. I usually startled the kids when Marvin (my puppet) who was wearing a costume (headdress and mask) jumped in before the kids had a chance to say anything by saying to them: "Trick or Treat! What'd you bring me?!" Then the candy would be handed out with appropriate compliments on the child's costume.

I could not help myself when those little ones started ringing my doorbell. I put a costume on my puppet and made my husband be my straight man. We had fun. The best part was hearing what they said as they ran back to their parents. Something about a crazy puppet living there.
