I always wanted to try that see through black fabric, but never found any. Can't wait to see how it turns out.

I thought it was cute. Oh wait can a zombie be cute? Well you know what I mean. Your dialog is cleanly delivered and well written. Hard to see his pupil in the one good eye so the eye focus is not there. Looks a bit like he is looking off camera. Like I said that could simply be because it is hard to see the pupil. This does bring up a good topic though of how you attain eye focus for a puppet when you don't have the traditional face with two eyes (in normal position) or you have set your eyes off for a cross eyed look. I think maybe you have to really look at the position of the body in such cases. It might also have to do with the framing of shot. I wonder if this was framed a bit tighter if that might have helped. Don't despair though you did good. I watched the entire video and enjoyed it.

The secret to this working is more that behind the fabric where the puppeteer is should be as dark as it can be and then the front is well lite. In fact the fabric does not even have to be black. Have you ever gone outside on a sunny day and tried to look in a window that has white sheers hanging in it?

No despair! It was the first attempt at filming anything like this. so all input is greatly appreciated!
Unfortunately, our camcorder died. so this was filmed with the video mode on our still camera. Not the best. also, it was just my wife and I, so she started the video and then came around to work the brain. So we didn't have anyone to work the camera or tell us if I wasn't looking at the camera. Definitely all good advice. Thanks!

I liked the script and your voice and accent are very nice. I liked the brain noises too. I agree with Shawn the lack of eye focus was a little distracting. We worked standing with bent arms and found the puppet tended to lean out, we had to work on getting our puppets more upright which made them closer to the backdrop, but my knees are shot, no more kneeling for me. I had an elbow rest that helped me stay upright and let me work longer too. If zombie was facing forward more then when the brain distracted him he could turn more. Good start.

Here's the latest two
Dummy Mummy - Come on, they put his brain in a jar!
Frankie Stein - His eyes light up, flash, blink, etc via a button inside. These were suppose to be eyes you put in the tree at Halloween.
Still planning on doing Drac, but he may wait a while. Got others I need to do. Well, the others aren't needed until May, but that's still sooner than October!

I like Frankie. The light up eyes are a very nice touch.
Also, what is the brain made from in the video?

They look great! Love the light up eyes. What a clever use of a Halloween product. Where did you find them?

Nov. 1st I hit every store selling Halloween stuff! lol The Brain was at "The Dollar Store". I just added the eyes and stuffing (it was flat). I think it was suppose to be a dog toy because it is kind of that material.
The eyes I think were from one of many stores at which I spent way too much!
