New puppet project for customer Posted by Billy D. Fuller on Nov 29, 2012
I haven't built a puppet in so long and found this build quite a challenge. I didn't realize that when you don't make them on a regular basis you tend to get out of practice. Well anyway here are the final results. Please be gentle, I bruise easy LOL

Sorry can't be gentle.... They look great!!! Don't be so hard on yourself. You did a great job. The only observation I can give is that I may have used a few less feathers on the face of the orange and blue guy but I think that is more of a personal choice and may very well have been the choice of the client. Really like the string tie on the older man puppet.

There's nothing to be gentle about, they are great! You haven't lost your touch. You make me a little worried, though, it's been a while since I've done any puppet construction...
Anyway, they prove that you know your way around a puppet workshop!

Billy, they are adorable. You haven't lost your touch. Is there a reason the head is separated from the body?

Julie I made the head with a fabric tube. I also lined the inside of the body with the same spandex fabric. The customer can use the head with the tube as a practice puppet without using the body. The tube can then be inserted into the opening of the body which allows more movement of the head and attached at the base inside the body using velcro. Kind of like two puppets in one.
