Here is a good book on mold making. Once you finish your sculpture of the puppet you want and making the mold pouring the latex is pretty simple. I reccomend this book.

Link no longer available.

You tube has some good videos as well. Try searching latex puppets and mold making.

Thanks Billy for all  Your input and time spent giving me This information,
I really  have a special respect for all The People Who are working in puppetry, as constructors, creators  or performers.
This is one of The most amazing places To find and  learn.
It's a pitty that This art though admired, it's hard  To make a living.
It's also sad that DVDs and Books published from great teachers ad professionals are getting much hard To find.
Thats  Noreen Young example.
Because Even if you don't follow Their  técnic, are without doubt a resource of knowledge and Inspiration.
And Inspiration is hapiness, , i believe one Day i will find This Dvd .
Very gratefull for  all the people  and Puppets and Stuff,
Thanks again Billy

I have the DVD............. she sculpts the head, then cut the tip of the head off flat so it will sit it a buket then pours plaster of paris around the head. Once dry she digs all the clay from inside the mold and cleans the mold out carefully not to chip or disturb any detail. Once the mold is dry she mixes already to pour latex and tints it with tempera paint. She then pours the tinted latex into the mold turning and coating the entire mold. Pour the excess out,let dry completely and repeat ten times. when dry brush the inside of mold filling in holes and weak spots with a brush and tinted latex. Let dry completely again and then dust the inside of mold with corn starch, this helps to remove the cured latex puppet. She peels it out of the mold the same way you would making a latex mask. She touches up the outside of the latex head with a brush and tinted latex filling in air bubble holes and smoothing out the skin.Once dry she paints with temera paint the skin color desired, paints on detail work. Cuts out the flat opening on top of the head a glues 1/2 4-6 inch styrofoam ball into that opening. This is so you can attach the hair. Once that is done you make a regular foam body, arms and legs just like you would with any other puppet. attach head to body with contact cement or hot glue. then costume. I hope that helps. At the end of the DVD she shows how to make a simple three piece head puppet.
