Ok, I have a question.anyone have an idea on how Floyd Peppers eyes are made and operate.I like the way the emotion shows in them

For what i saw in a couple of  vídeos, there are no special mechanism... just a pair of sunglasses, and that special sinthetic " fur" called in Portugal "arminho",

in his earlier years he just had sun glasses but around season two he has eyes that look like sunglasses but they open and close now..watch some of the videos on youtube and you'll see what i'm talking about...i think its a cool look

Not sure how Henson did it but a tube of foam an inch or so laying on it side that was painted or covered in black fabric that then had a string embedded in the top of the tube running down to the bottom would work if you then pulled on the string. Spring or piano wire in the circle that then was covered in black Lycra could do something similar. Pretty sure they use some type of flexible tube or circle that when compressed then released pops back just not sure of how they compressed it.

A heavy round rubber casket like you find in the hardware store and then covered in the fabric might work also.
