It's been several busy months since I've had time to post, so I thought I'd stop back here in the introductions to re-introduce myself.
I'm Dr. Megan, a puppet builder based in Minneapolis MN. My partner Dr. Jeff and I are the folk behind The Ridiculous Puppet Company and The Institute For Ridiculous Science.
Over the last year, we've been undergoing the transition from hobby puppet people to full time self-employed puppet people, and it's been a crazy trip. Learning the business side of puppets is WAY harder than building the little guys, but it's been a fun and rewarding experience.
I'm relatively new to puppets, though I have over 25 years of sewing and crafting experience, including training in draping, pattern drafting, textiles, and I spent some time working for one of the most amazing fabric warehouse stores in the country, S.R. Harris.
We've just gotten to the point where things are a little more settled down, and I'm excited to be able to participate on the boards again!
