The Brian Puppet - aka my husband's boss Posted by Lola on Dec 21, 2012
I suggested to my husband about a month ago that I could make a puppet of his boss for their company holiday party. So of course, he waits until less than a week before to give me reference pics (because I've never met him). Here's my final puppet, basically done in under three days...

That looks awesome! Is the shirt handmade, or modified from real clothing?

Thanks, Na! It's modified, from a boy's dress shirt. I HATE making button holes. They are the bane of my existence.

Lola, he is really good. Love the facial hair.
I know what you mean about button holes. Even with the sewing machine attachments it's still hard to bead a commercial made shirt. I've found it's less expensive most times as well.

You did great in short time. I made a puppet for a puppet show at work and my Boss bought him from me, his name was Geezer, she kept him in her office. When she went to Hawaii we dressed him Hawaian style for her return. When she was sick I made a some doctor greens and made her a get well card with him. We were always sneaking in her office to pose him differently and she loved it. He would come to staff meetings and keep things light. He was a great moral booster. Hope your's is loved as much.

Oh, that's a pity - I was going to say it looks very good for handmade
I agree with you on button holes though, they're a pain!
