Wanted: puppeteers! Posted by Na on Jan 07, 2013
In 2013, School of Puppetry will be producing monthly podcast interviews with puppeteers. I have one scheduled to record soon, and if you'd like to add yourself to the interviewees, please email me at na AT schoolofpuppetry.com.au.
I'm trying to find interesting things to talk about and not just pure marketing fodder, so if you do want to be interviewed, you should try and come up with a good angle. For instance, the first one will be about a local puppeteer who is making use of a government scheme to start his very own puppetry business. I thought it would be interesting to hear about how that scheme works, what things you need to know about setting up your own business, etc. ... And I thought my subscribers might like to know about it too.
Basically think about what you'd like to learn about - techniques, design, how to's, theory, etc. Whatever it is you'd like to hear other people discuss is whatever you should be pitching. Think about what insights you can offer that would inspire, inform, or get people talking. The only rule is that it shouldn't be boring!
So yeah, if you're up to something puppetry and would like to share it with the world - or at least our arc of it - let me know. (And if someone would like to post this to Puptcrit or Puppet Hub, feel free, I'm no longer subscribed to either)
Oh - and also, let me know if you'd be keen to have an 'audience' component, where you get to call in live. I can probably set something like that up for the future, but the initial podcasts will just be me and the interviewee.

sounds good to me... By the way, do you remember who posted recently about posting a puppet character pic regularly on a website?

No, that doesn't sound familiar to me. But then I haven't been keeping as up-to-date with this site as I usually do...

That's ok - I get mixed up too, what with vlogs and blogs and podcasts and vodcasts...
