I can just hear it.... "Dear would you please stop playing with your dolls and come make sure our flight is booked!".

Ha, your wife sounds like my husband. Maybe they could start a blog for "puppet enablers" to vent.

Hi to all.  Whilst the video series is still being edited while we are travelling and meeting people, I thought I'd jump the gun and post this pic, of Frogo meeting a fellow forum member in Greymouth on the west coast of the South Island of New Zealand...just to prove that  Puppetsandstuff is helping to unite puppets, and puppeteers around the world.Message Image

Wooo Hooo! How cool is that! I know that some others have met in person but they have lived in the same area. I think this is our first trans Atlantic, or would that be Pacific, meet up.  Although Na did come visit here in the states. Just not sure she was able to connect with any members when here.

Yes it is really cool. It was fun meeting someone you have not met in person before, and they are on the same page, read the same threads, seen the same videos, are able to comment on the same  topics, so in tune...thanks to this forum. wow. Thanks for maintaining it Shawn. We appreciate that.

I did met Stacey Gordon, but outside of that 'meet' would not really cover it. I don't believe I met anyone from here, but then there were like 500 or something ridiculous number of people, and not much time for intros. I think 'saw' would be a better description

Pagestep, did you see much puppetry in NZ? I know there's a bit down there, as well as a lot of animatronics/special effects, but not having done to NZ myself only hear of it...

An historic day... Frogo got to hold a real live replica of a 'Lord Of The Rings' ring. Created by the makers of the rings from the movies, at their  Jewelrey studio in Nelson, New Zealand. ( Created by the  Jens Hansen Studio. They can be bought there. )Message Image

Na, I am seeing only a little of the puppetry in New Zealand. Frogo met some Austrian soft toy characters visiting the Southern most tip of  New Zealand's South Island.I missed seeing a Puppeteer in Christchurch, whom I'd met years ago in the North Island, as I was not aware he had shifted there. I met up with a friend here in Nelson whom I'd done puppets with in the past, and of course there was Yorick in Greymouth. I am hoping to get to meet some puppeteers in Wellington who are doing TV. My son hosted their son or daughter on their trip to Colombia, and he met up with  their parents... so I will try and  meet them when I am there. I am hoping that they may help me meet others.
Last trip to  Wellington 6 years ago I got  into Weta workshops, but  I am not sure how close I will get this time around.
