Very nice! I'm trying to get caught up with posting. My puppets and Stuff theme changed and I could'nt get used to the new layout. Being a creature of habit I had to change it back to the old theme............. I tried though. LOL

Thanks! And I know what you mean - I'm working on a couple of new layouts for my own site/s and it's often a bit confusing when you change from one to the other.

Finally got permission to post the pics and a bit about the building process:

PS. Note to Shawn: I manually typed the BBcode for the image and then used the preview button, but the image didn't appear. Had to use the 'insert web image' button to get it to work...

EDITED TO ADD: photos currently not available

You where using the Quick Reply box I bet.  I just realized the preview does not get processed right when that happens. Need to fix that.  Thanks!

The shadows look great on screen!

Nice to be able to see the close up detail! Also, a shirtload of sheets made me laugh out loud.

Yes, lucky we live in the same city - especially since shipping these giants would have been extremely tricky!

Quite right, using the quick reply box (not the pop up version).

Yes, the one problem is you don't get to truly see the detail in such small photos. They really are tiny details, and I spent a *lot* of time going over the curves to make sure they were actually curvy. The leaves and the koala detail were the biggest pains to get right.

'Shirtload'... not sure if that's an Aussie axiom or not... but anyway, yeah I have lots of sheets already, but I really want a lot of different colours. 50 X 8 = a shirtload

And thanks all for the compliments

Yep Na, 'shirtloads' is Australian for sure. By the way, the behind the scenes of 'hey make believer' was very interesting. It would have been more interesting to have seen you in action behind the scenes. Maybe you could put together a vid or two showing how you work 'behind the scenes'

No can do I'm afraid. I not only don't have any photos/video of me, but I don't even have the puppets - handed them over to the designer. We were also all too busy shooting the video to do much of behind-the-scenes stuff anyway. (Unless of course, you go ahead and read the blog post on making the puppets for the video. It doesn't explain a lot of how it was done, but you can get the basic idea from the description of how the puppets work. Oddly enough the video of behind-the-scenes is far more popular than the post explaining the puppets .... ?)

If you're talking in general - me with shadow puppets or whatever - then it has been on my 'to do' list forever. Unfortunately I never seem to get around to it. One of the things I really want to do is show how to perform with shadow puppets. I've got a nice little explanation in my head, but it's a matter of finding time, quiet and a space to do it...
