Clinton Detweiler Has died... Posted by Donald Woodford on Jan 27, 2013
If you've been a ventriloquist, more than a week, you'll recognize the name.

Below information was received from Mark Wade;

Clinton Detweiler Has died...

It is with great sadness that I am reporting that Clinton Detweiler passed away today due to a massive heart attack. His daughter Joy had contacted me on behalf of her mother Adelia and Adelia wanted to let the vent community know of this great tradgedy.

Information is still sketchy, but from what Joy told me Clinton was working on the computer. When Adelia checked on him he was slumped over the keyboard. It was very quick.

I'll keep you all in the loop as information comes in. Let's keep Adeila and the family in our prayers.

This is very sad news, i started my love of puppeteering and ventriloquism through Clinton and his family and of course through 'Maher studios', and he was a genuinly lovely guy, never too busy to help me out with any problems i had!!
His family will be in my thoughts and prayers.

I still can't believe that he is gone. For so many years the first thing I did in the morning (after my coffee)was to open up his blog and read the wonderful information he had for us. I don't think there is another person who contributed so much to the art of ventriloquism as Clinton Detweiler. His influence is more far reaching than we can imagine. He truly will be missed.
