Puppet rods Posted by creatureworks on Feb 11, 2013
Hi Guys! Sorry mod if this is in the wrong forum, I'm new here ;-)

What would be a good choice for the rods? Can't find anything suitable so far.

Cheers in advance
Tim

I like to use what is called piano or spring wire.  You can find it in some hardware stores. It is nice because it does not bend or cut very easily. Makes it a chore to cut to length or to bend for a handle but worth it.   To bend it I normally put it in a vice and then bend over.  To cut just get some heavy wire cutters.

We like to use the ones from Out Of The Box Puppets.  They are 3.00 a set but have held up well.

I'm actually using wire hangers from the dry cleaner for the rods.  I just clip the bottom portion off and it seems to be the perfect size for me.

We sell them. Ours  have Velcro that wraps around the puppet wrist.
