Question re stuffing machine Posted by MsPuppet on Feb 22, 2013
Does anyone know where to get a machine like the ones used at Build A Bear to stuff the bears with fiberfill? Or better yet, has anyone made one? I'm thinking one on a much smaller scale that we can use to stuff puppet arms/legs.  Any suggestions?

Here's one..http://www.ebay.com/itm/Stuffed-Animal-Machine-Build-A-Bear-Machine-Teddy-Bear-Stuffer-/300864368119?pt=Stuffed_Animals_US&hash=item460ce9edf7

Keep in mind build a Bear toys don't have the detailed fingers like puppets.

The best way I have found is to use a hemastat to grab the stuffing.

Everything I could find was pretty big. When looking for things like this the best source is often http://www.alibaba.com/ Tried finding a table top or home version but nothing really came up. Some of the images I found though looked a lot like leaf blowers you get at the hardware or lawn store.  Don't know if it would work but might be a cheap way to go. The only thing is I think that often those also cut up the leaves.

Thanks. I've got a way to do the fingers and arms, but would like to speed up arms.  It may not work, My.. . Perfectionism, OCD , whatever it is, shows up when stuffing! I want fingers and arms uniform. LOL
